An app with no App Store: how iLuckyStones works on your phone
When we say iLuckyStones «installs like an app», some people look puzzled: which app? Where do I download it?
The answer is: you don't download it from any store. iLuckyStones is a web app (techies call it a PWA, Progressive Web App). It is a website that, once added to your Home Screen, behaves like an application: it has its own icon and opens full screen, without the browser bar.
How to do it, in three taps
- iPhone and iPad: open iluckystones.com/iluckystones in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with the arrow), choose «Add to Home Screen».
- Android: open the same address in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu and choose «Install app».
- Computer: scan the QR code on the website with your phone.
Why not the App Store?
For three simple reasons.

- No sign-up. No account, no email, no cookies. Your record stays on your phone.
One thing to know
Precisely because your record lives on your device, if you change phone or clear your browser data you start again from zero. That's the price of privacy, and we think it's fair.
In 2014 iLuckyStones was born as an iPhone app. Twelve years later it no longer needs a store to reach you: an address is enough.
