How to play

Easy to learn, hard to put down

A game lasts as long as you like. There is only one goal: get as far as you can without losing all your lives.

Move Lucky

Lucky is the orange stone with big eyes. It goes wherever you take it.

Collect the bonuses

Yellow drops, cubes, green spikes: every bonus adds points.

Avoid the dangers

Pink drops, purple and black spikes cost you lives. Mind the walls.

Level up

Reach the required score: you move up a level and get a lucky thought.

  • On a computer: the mouseLucky follows the pointer, precisely and instantly. Arrow keys or W A S D work too. The M key turns the sound on and off.
  • On a phone: the joystickThe red joystick at the bottom right steers Lucky with one finger. The game is played in landscape, full screen.
  • Or by tilting your phoneTurn on «Tilt to move» on the start screen: on iPhone you will be asked for permission to use the motion sensors.
  • Tap to defend yourselfSome dangers can be removed by tapping or clicking them before they hit Lucky.

The items

What to grab, what to dodge

Items appear, move around and sometimes change colour. Learning to spot them is half the game.

Black spike: the most dangerous one. Tap (or click) it to clear it away before it reaches Lucky.

From level 2 on walls appear too: Lucky can't go through them, items can.

The seven levels

Each level asks for more

Points add up over the whole game: to clear a level you must reach the total shown. The seventh never ends: that's where you play for the record.

You start with 10 lives

Every level you clear gives you 2 more. When you run out of lives, the game is over.

Stars, in moderation

At most 5 stars appear in each level: up to 10 extra lives, no more. Lives matter: use them well.

Arcade to practise

From «Help & Arcade» you can start from any level. Arcade games are for practice and don't count as verified scores.

  • +1One image, 5 seconds
Watch it to the end: one free life.
  • +2Two images, 5 + 5 seconds
One life each: close during the second and you keep the first.
  • +2One video, 10 seconds
Two free lives. It works without sound too.
  • ✕Always closable
Close it whenever you like: you only lose the free lives, the game resumes at once. When the game opens there may be a 5-second image, with no reward.

Fairness and transparency

We tell you how it works, first of all

iLuckyStones is free and can be installed on your phone like an app thanks to its sponsors. These are the rules we follow.

Declared sponsors

Sponsors may appear in the game with images, videos and a link to their website. Spots are kept apart from the game, full screen, and the button shows the sponsor's website address: you know where it leads before you tap it.

No risky content

We do not accept links to betting or gambling sites, illegal sites or pornographic sites. Every campaign is approved before it goes live.

Free thanks to sponsors

Sponsors are what make the game free for everyone and available to save on your smartphone. No in-game purchases.

No personal data

You don't need to sign up to play. The game uses no cookies and never asks for your name, email or location: it only counts, anonymously and in aggregate, how many games are played.

Verified scores

Scores are checked: points that are impossible in the real playing time are recognised. That keeps records fair for everyone.

Any doubts? Write to us

If a spot doesn't look right to you, let us know: we check it and, if needed, remove it.

Never in the game

  • Betting and gambling
  • Illegal sites
  • Pornography

  • Mandatory sign-up

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing. iLuckyStones is free and has no in-game purchases: sponsors make it possible.

Do I have to sign up or leave my email?

No. You play straight away, with no account. The game uses no cookies and asks for no personal data.

Where is my record saved?

On your device. If you change phone or clear your browser data, your record starts again from zero.

Can I close the spots?

Yes, always, with the ✕ at the top right. You only lose the free lives. The only exception is the 5-second image when the game opens, which gives no lives.

Can I play on a computer?

Yes: on a computer you steer Lucky with the mouse, or with the arrow keys or W A S D. The M key turns the sound on and off.

Why does the phone have to be held sideways?

The playing field is wide: sideways you see everything and Lucky has room to move. The game adapts to every screen, from phone to large monitor.
